Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy (2-year Renewable Contract)

Location: Hong Kong

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  1. Monitor market intelligence to facilitate market understanding
    • Monitor and analyse market intelligence including arrival trends, air connectivity and capacity, economic, and consumer trends
    • Research and keep track of business intelligence including activities of other National Tourism Organisations (NTOs)
    • Analyse the trend and its implications to the Hong Kong tourism industry
  2. Conduct in-depth desktop research on market and topical studies
    • Support the team to gather sufficient, relevant and timely information for decision making and strategies formulation
    • Analyse quantitative and qualitative findings with professional judgement to identify reliable/ authoritative sources to distill insights
    • Deliver well-structured reports that address management’s business questions
  3. Manage different sources and platforms of tourism intelligence to facilitate research and internal knowledge sharing
    • Regularly review the current subscriptions and explore new or alternative tools/platforms to keep track of market intelligence
    • Deduce relevant insights to facilitate internal knowledge sharing within the team and internal stakeholders
    • Compile databases concerning the market environment, competitive destinations and consumer trend to enable centralised and easy access to up-to-date and relevant market information

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Degree holder preferably in Statistics or Quantitative Analysis or Business Administration. Degree holder of Communications, Journalism, Translation, or relevant disciplines will also be considered.
  • 3 years of experience, preferably in research, strategic planning and business analysis. Experience in tourism industry is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong sense and knowledge of market intelligence and competitive analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, strong analytical and logical thinking, and detail-minded
  • Solid desk research and report writing skills. Being able to draft a structured and logical analysis plan, conduct research using proprietary databases and Internet resources and distill research results for insights and 
  • implications Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Agile and flexible – being able to work independently, be adaptable to new tasks and change of plan, work under short turnaround time and tailor deliverables for different parties.
