Senior Manager, MICE Business Development

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Formulate business strategies to develop and grow Meetings, Incentives and Exhibitions segments, reinforce Hong Kong as the preferred MICE destinations in all source markets and to drive MICE visitor arrivals to the city.
  • Develop global marketing and business development strategies to strengthen Hong Kong’s brand as the “Trade Fair Capital in Asia” for the exhibitions business.
  • Partner with convention and exhibition venues, as well as key MICE stakeholders in Hong Kong to implement effective marketing activities to promote Hong Kong as the destinations for trade shows and to boost attendance to trade fairs.
  • Set strategic directions for Worldwide Offices to identify leads for large scale events, and steer the formulation of bid proposals to win the events.
  • Lead and orchestrate the implementation of business plans and marketing activities to achieve the set objectives at maximum efficiency.
  • Establish and foster good relationships with travel industry partners and major stakeholders

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Degree in preferably Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism or Hospitality.
  • Preferably at least 10 years of work experience in the MICE industry with excellent general knowledge on wider economic and professional developments in the region. Experience at senior management positions in driving business development is essential.
  • Demonstrated history in leading effective teams to achieve meaningful performance in a fast-paced, highly pressurised environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, sensitivity in the broader business and cultural context.
  • Highly organised and skilled in project management, able to solve or recommend solutions to complex problems with structured approach and data-led insights.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence others with finesse, internally and externally, for positive results.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Chinese and including Putonghua.
